Apple Watch And Apple Pay

It's been very long an innovation product from Apple since the departure of Former CEO and founder of Apple Steve Job.At Apple Event on September 19, 2014 Apple announced the new product line Apple Watch and Innovative payment method Apple Pay.

Apple Watch



Design and Display

Widely rumored Apple Watch was unveiled at this event. Apple Watch has a rectangular display and comes with two size 28mm and 42mm (height). Apple watch will be available in three verity – watch body made of steel, aluminum or 18karat yellow and rose gold. It comes with a wide range of straps too made out of metal, rubber and latter too. Apple watch has a sleep button and a crown (Digital Crown) on the right side to zoon in and out. 

Chip

Apple watch run on a single chip Apple S1 which is the integration for many subsystem into unique module.  The watch touch screen is sensitive enough to tell a tap from a press.  Tim Cook says Apple watch is accurate within plus or minus 50 milliseconds. 

OS

Apple watch runs a new OS specifically for Apple watch, Watch OS, as other smart watches Apple watch can glace through just the right amount of information and shows notification, call someone or receive call, sent or read text and navigate with Siri. 

Communication

Apple introduced a new way of communication over Apple Watch called Digital Touch. This feature enables us to sketch something on the touch screen of the Apple watches and sent to any other Apple watch, you can even sent your own heart beat detached by the build-in heart monitoring sensor to your friends . 

Sensors

The rear side of the watch is protected by Sapphire lenses which contain specially designed sensor with infrared and visible light and photodiodes to detect heart rate. Apple watch used accelerometer and your iPhone’s GPS and Wi-Fi the kind of activity you are doing for fitness monitoring. Fitness data can be sync with your Health app in your iPhone and you could analysis day to day activities and health issues.       

Apple Pay


Apple announced a new payment process along with iPhone called Apple Pay, which uses built-in NFC for establish secure wireless connection to the payment device and uses Touch ID for authentication

Every time you use your credit card for a payment you are exposed your identity, with Apple Pay it assigns a highly encrypted Unique Device Account Number and is store in your device locally securely in a dedicated Chip called Secure Element. With Apple pay, paying a bill can be done within few seconds even without wake up the screen on your iPhone. 

Apple have promised that Apple Pay will available with all major banks in US but for now it will launch on Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Retails store that support Apple Pay are Disney, McDonald’s, Whole Foods, Apple retails and online merchants like Uber and Groupon with one-touch payment.

[UPDATE] Microsoft Smart band Coming Soon

The tech giant Microsoft is ready to unveil a Smart watch within few weeks. Microsoft is falling smartphone market with just 3.5% share and Android dominating with 80.2% along Apple with 14.8% share in the Global smartphone market by the end of 2014. Microsoft decided to catch the market with a new line a wearable device, Smart watch.  This isn’t the first time we hear about a wearable device from Microsoft, two years ago Microsoft got granted a patent for a wearable EMG device which can detect muscle movement in the wearer’s arms to control his smartphone. In the year 2012 Microsoft was rumored on working with a wearable device with work with Kinect and later march, 2014 Microsoft spend about $150 million on a patent related to headset and a watch like device from the Osterhout Design Group. Mangalyaan : Indian Mission to Mars

24 th September 2014 is a proud moment for every Indian, the first Indian Inter Planetary mission to Mars - Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) also called Mangalyaan (word from Sanskrit, मंगल Mangala meaning Mars and यान   yana meaning Craft) reaches Mars orbit after approximately 298days journey of 670 million kilometers.
