16th October 2014 Apple announced the new iPad
Air 2, iPad mini 3 and all new iMac.
Soon after the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus announcement event
on 19th September 2014, Apples upgrades its tablet series with
pretty sweet features.
The new iPad mini 2 is the slimmer version of the original iPad mini. As the hit
Apple product Original iPad, iPad mini also hit the tablet market very well
making a good money flow into Apple. Still iPad mini have a lower configuration
that its big brother iPad which make power used to go for iPad or other
compitator with slimmer tablets than iPad mini.
Design and Display
As its predecessor iPad mini 2 have a unibody aluminum body.
The device is so thin than another other iPad apple had; Apple says iPad mini 2
is the slimmest tablet among all others including the competitors. Its 18
percent thinner than the Original iPad mini, It has a gorgeous 9.7inch Retina
Display with 2048x1536 capable of showcases 3.1 million pixels in a whole. Its 54
percent thinner than the original iPad and 30 percent thinner than the iPad 2.
If we stack two new iPad Air 2, still it will be thinner than the original
iPad. The new iPad mini runs theearly released iOS 8 with a expected iOS 8.1
very soon.
The entire iPad screen series had 3 components LCD, touch
sensor and cover glass, a mico gap was present between all these layers. The
Apple engineers revised it by bonding thelayers together into single component
without leaving gaps between them and thereby reduces internal reflection,
sharper display and thinner display. Along with all these technology Apple has
added an anti reflection coat over the screen which can reduce the light
reflection with 56 percent. The new iPad mini have a touch ID built into it
home button like the iPhone but the lack of NFC chip restricts the customer to
just do online purchases through Apple Pay.
Chip
Chip
iPad air 3 is power by a Apple A8X chip with 64bit architecture
consisting of 3 million transistor where as the original iPad with A7 chip only
had 1 million transistors in it. CPU is 40 percent faster and GPU 9s 2.5 times
faster than the A7 chip in the original iPad. It also has a new M8, motion co
processor like its predecessor which offloads motion detection data processing
from A8X chip. The M8 chip collects data from the sensors like accelerometer,
compass, gyroscope, and a new barometer which feed data to your accurately and quickly.
Camera
Camera
The all new iSight camera is another great feature all look
at. An Apple designed optical signal processor is integrated into the A8X chip
for better and faster image processing. It also enhances the picture quality
with improved noise reduction and faster face detection. The rear camera has a 8MP sensor capable of
capturing 3264x2448 resolution picture. The features of the new iSight camera
are 1080p HD video, lapse video, 120p slo-mo video, burst mode, timer mode and
high resolution panorama. The new iPad also have new Facetime HD camera with 2MP
sensor and capable of shooting 720p HD video.
Wireless
The new iPad has a faster Wi-Fi with 802.11 ac MIMO, which
can deliver 2.8 times faster performance the previous version. It also have 20
LTE bands than any other tablet in the market boosting surfing speed up to
150Mbps. High quality 675000 app are waiting for all iPad at the App Store. The
Apple’s app rich platform makes more customers interested in Apple product than
other competitors.
